RUCKSACK COMFORT

There are a number of features that go into making your rucksack comfortable for you.

FIRST OF ALL, THERE IS SIZE.

Smaller framed people do need to take some care when selecting the appropriate size of

rucksack, as the harness will generally be larger and may not be capable of being properly

adjusted to their frame.

Consider the weight of your pack loaded. Everyone says they will just take less stuff, few actually

do. Buying a rucksack that is conservative on size makes you be conservative on packing, and

therefore weight.

THEN THERE IS THE HARNESS.

OZtrail uses an ergonomically designed harness that focuses on delivering free movement and

stability. The harness is also designed to move the load away the muscles that assist in breathing,

and to not compress the upper chest, so breathing is not a chore whilst trail walking with your

pack on.

SOME OF THE KEY HARNESS DESIGN FEATURES ARE:

HIP BELT

The hip belt actually takes a lot of the load off your shoulders and moves the weight of the

pack itself closer to your natural centre of gravity. The OZtrail rucksacks use a tri-laminated

foam construction to give a soft feel with the outer layers, but a stiffened back layer to maintain

structural integrity. The hip belt is also conically shaped to allow for the natural movement of the

upper legs and hips.

SHOULDER STRAPS

Shoulder straps should anchor the load to your body without impinging on your range of

movement. Our shoulder straps are designed to be both comfortable and resilient through the

implementation of bi-laminated foam, and an ergonomic shaping. As well, heavy duty hardware is

employed to attach and secure the straps to the main pack.

ADJUSTABLE FIT RAILS

Integrated into the design are two aluminium fitting rails that can mould to suit the contours of

your back. These are easily bent into shape by removing them from the pack and shaping them to

your backs natural curve from where your waist belt will sit up to your shoulder blades.

AND OF COURSE, THERE ARE FEATURES

It is the simple things that really help your comfort levels, like built in rain covers, mesh side pockets

for trail snacks and water bottles or a simple key holder and organiser. These ruck sacks have a host

of simple and effective features that will make your travelling or trail walking a pleasure.
